Overview / Welcome

The Kennard Philosophy of Children First and our motto "Together We Can", exemplify our commitment to the students and parents we serve.

Approximately 340 pre-school through fifth grade students and 35 staff members enter each day to participate in the teaching-learning process. High standards are set and expected of all. Staff are among the children's first role models and must project a positive image at all times. It is important that an intellectual, nurturing environment prevail and is balanced to ensure that the needs of all students are met academically, emotionally and socially. We service a diverse cross-section of the real world and must seize every opportunity to develop an appreciation and understanding of cultural diversities.

Thinking, creating, decision-making, and improving every aspect of the School are the responsibilities of ALL stakeholders. We are an empowered school. Empowerment of all, Site-Base Management, Out-of the Box Thinking, On Going Assessment, and Risk Taking are the INITIATIVES driving the Kennard School Improvement Plan.
