Spell It! - Study SourceScripps National Spelling Bee has a NEW official study booklet available this year which replaces the Paideia. Thanks to Maryville University Spell It! was made available to all students in grades K-8 in the St. Louis area.
Additional Preparation
A Spelling Bee Activity Page was ran on Fridays from October 27, 2006 through January 26, 2007 in the Post-Dispatch.
The activity page featured words from Spell It! to help prepare St. Louis students for their local Spelling Bees. The
activities were designed for students to prepare for the Bee in a fun and challenging way. Coordinators were able to
receive classroom sets of newspapers containing the activity page at no charge!
Get Ready, Get Set, SPELL IT!
Maryville University will sponsor, as well as host, the 2007 Post-Dispatch Spelling Bee. The semi-final written test will be
held on Saturday, March 3, 2007. The final oral spelling competition will be held Saturday, March 10, 2007. Times and
locations of these events will be announced.
Representing Kennard
Dakota S. in Mrs. Beffa's 5th Grade class will be participating and representing Kennard CJA. Patrice N. in Ms. Williams'
5th Grade class is our alternate contestant! Congratulations to both students!
